Temperature gauge not working - replaced most everything LOL

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Hi folks,

I'm new to the forum here and I'm looking for some help resolving what should be a simple problem but apparentlyly isn't for me LOL.

We have a 93 nissan sentra 1.6L (B13) and after replacing the head gasket and going throught the time, we got the car running again, however, our temperature is now working now (where it was before).

I have measured the temp sensor as the water/car gets hotter and it drops in value as it should

Thus far we have replaced:
The temperature sensor
All relays (Fan relays)
The temperature gauge

We have checked all fuses and fusable links.
I have verified 5 VDC at the sensorconector and verified ground at the senso connector.

The gauge itself is measuring 160 ohms between the "ignition terminal and the center terminal which I presumes comes from the temp sensor.

I am at a complete loss as I do not know what else to check or replace.
Can someone more knowledgeable please help/guide me on what to check?

Thank you so much for your time and anticipated assistance!!

I'm not sure if this applies to your auto but in some vehicles, there are essentially two 'sensors'. The vehicles that I'm aware of with these have one near the thermostat housing that sends info to the computer and another one usually on the cylinder head which sends info to the gauge. Maybe check your manual for this. Only a thought, but hope it helps.
