Well my temperature gauge stopped working in my car it sits about 1/3 up from the bottom of the gauge. I bought a new sensor to see if that was the problem but i can not find the old one on the engine to replace could some one please explain to me how to find it my car and i would be very thankful.

Thanks, Kevin

on the intake manifold near the front where the upper most hose for the radiator is connected. I suspect its not your sender though. typically when the sender goes bad it either goes to full hot or full cold. I think your gauge may be the fault or a partial short to ground in the harness. if it were the harness I would think the gauge would fluctuate. To determine if it is infact the sender try disconnecting it and turning the key on. it should go to the full cold position. and if you short it to ground the gauge should go full hot. If it does then that proves the rest of the circuit is functioning properly. if not then you have a problem somewhere else in the circuit.

I have the same problem. My tach and temp gauge dont work and they both did before I took it to the body shop and had the frame cut from another car and welded on mine. I suspect the bodyshop didnt hook all the wires back up. I have a purple wire hanging all by itself but I cant see any other wires hanging down.

you should be able to get just the temp gauge by itself. they arent to common to burn up on nissans so you could probably find a good one at a wreakin yard

I found one at a local salvage yard but he wouldn't seperate the gauges and he wanted $125 for the whole assembly. Is this to much or what i should expect to pay.

Thanks for any and all input, Kevin

check at the dealer or a parts house in your area or even through the wholesale parts on this forum. it might be cheaper just to buy the temp gauge its self new.

I have the same problem with my temp gauge. However mine stays at cold at all times. I tryed testing my CTS, and if I did it right I think it's my gauge or an open. How would I know if its the CTS or the gauge itself?

did you test the single wire sensor or 2 wire sensor? The single wire one is for the gauge.
