Car: 1992 Nissan Infiniti q45

I have a 1992 Infinit q45 and the temperature display does not light up. Once in a great while, the display with work but only for a few minutes. Wondering if you have any ideas on what could be the problem?

buy a newer one off ebay for $10, you can get 10 of them or send it to get repaired lol
