Is anyone else's temperature gauge off by about 5 degrees? Is there a way to calibrate this gauge?

I tried searching but didn't find this topic.

Thanks

Yeah, and my Pathfinder's black which probably doesn't help. Still, when I hold the button (to change the degrees to either C or F) in long enough it starts to blink and then gives me the ability to set it to any number bwtween 1 and 12. What the heck does that do? Anyone know?

Regards,

Chris

It's for the magnetic compass deviation -- you can set this for a more accurate compass reading depending on where you live.If you don't have the owner's manual, I can send a PDF of that soon.

this selection of numbers allows you to move from east coast to west coast and keep your compass calibrated correctly the entire way. because the magnetic north is slightly different then true north, you have to adjust the compass for your location.
