Just got my 2008 M35x last Saturday, picked it up late in the evening so haven't had the walk through with the sales fellow. I wanted to get home and had a 2 hour drive so we rain checked. I've had almost 2 dozen cars in the last 10 years and pretty much can figure things out.

First thing I want to do is set the clock. I can't set the clock. Pretty easy thing to do you would think -- 2 buttons and you push. But no go. Just to clear up any thinking I'm not doing something right, I'm a serious clock collector (variety and era) and a programmer. I can generally figure clocks and buttons.

I'm thinking this is a shame because that darn clock had me lusting after Infiniti the first time I laid eyes on it. No worries though my salesman is on top of it and will have all the parts in before I come to see him.

Day 2. Can't work the intermittent wipers. Sheesh, what did we do in the old days!? I manually start and stop as opposed to having them run constantly.

Sales rep checks to see if a fuse, etc. could be causing both issues. But learns they have nothing in common. They've got to have the vehicle in their hands before they can hazard a guess so it looks like our trip will be a bit longer.

Day 3. Now the thing that bugs me is the temperature setting. My mate and me like our personal climate zones different so we set temps to our liking. Passenger side is toasty while the driver has a nice cool breeze to keep crispy. Now with every other car I have/had when I turn the car off and back on the settings are the same as they were when last set. Not so with this one -- it defaults to 25ºC through the floor vent each time we restart the car. We are constantly stopping and starting as we travel around (with a dog that likes to pee) and I am getting seriously irked at having to punch the damn screen every time. This can't be right? I've done my voice command learning but haven't implemented it til I have my walk through -- could this car need temp set with command at each start up?

Any input would be extremely welcomed.

I would like to add as a PS here that my sales fellow has been outstanding from start to finish. I buy a lot of cars and this Infiniti purchase was the first pleasant experience I've had. I look forward to having a relationship with this dealer and this brand. Every car has issues, my 540 had serious ones in the first month, it's how the issues are dealt with that sets the tone. So far, so good!

Many, many folks on this forum and others are having a lot of trouble with temperature settings on their M series - I know I sure am. Seems there is no balance or consistency. Outside temperature reading fluctuates and is often off by 5-9 degress (used an accurate thermostat to verify). Dealer, of course, says this is normal.

Well thanks for all the helpful input.

Turns out that there is a fuse taken out for transit which was not reinserted during the PDI. Good to know for anyone coming here looking for information on electrical issues right from delivery,

Where is the fuse you are talking about, and what did it fix, the temperature problem, wiper problem, or both?

#10 fuse found in the fuse panel located by the parking break. It fixed everything (temperature, wiper & analog clock). This fuse runs the battery draining electrical components (not sure why the intermittent wipers were in that). This fuse is always removed for shipping and placed it in the ashtray (or some other common spot) -- the fellow doing the PDI is supposed to put it in position. So... we're getting the PDI redone.

No problem with the car, just an oversight with predelivery work.
