Ok so like an idiot I have been using my S13 cluster with my RB25DET, and I didn't change over to the S13 temp sender, so my car always looks like it is running a little hot.

Can somebody look at this pic and tell me what these are. I think the one on the right is the temp sendor (I have one on order), but I don't know what the other one is.

Also, since I don't have any crazy hp goals for my car, I am probably just going to leave the stock thermostat.. I have a Koyo and dual electric fans. I will be changing my mixture to 80% water and adding some 40below, so I am not too worried about heat being a big issue, although I do live in Texas it should be fine.

2 wires is the temp sender for the ECU, one wire is the sender for the gauges.

so basically I don't need to change the 2 wire one on the left, because it feeds the ECU. Changing the one wire sendor on the left should solve my gauge problem?

YUP.... BUT JUST TO LET YOU KNOW, THE RB20DET ONE IS THE EXACT SAME AS THE KA ONE.... I DON'T HONESTLY KNOW IF THE RB25DET USES A DIFFERENT SENDER.

mckinney told me that on the rb25det I should use the KA sendor, so i figure they probably know. I already ordered the one for the KA, but I wasn't sure what the other sensor was.

Anyway, thanks to both of you guys for answering my questions!

I got one of the new doors and the hatch stripped down and in epoxy primer, gotta get the other door and the headlamp buckets done next. Pretty much I am just driving it and having fun now. I picked up a 1988 Civic wagon for way cheap and I am gonna drive that over the winter while I strip the Z down to nothing and start fresh. Gonna get some new floors, redo all the wiring, ground up, RB26DETT monster coming out either late 2005 or early 2006. Its gonna be a total monster.

JOHN ARE YOU GONNA BACKHALF IT? ONCE I GET MY CAR I'M GOING TO DO NEW FRONT RAILS AND SUBFRAME CONNECTS. THEN I'M GOING TO RUN TRUE DUALS ALONG THE RAILS STRAIGHT OUT TWIN OPPOSING TIPS. NEXT I'M GONNA GET A JEGSTER 8 POINT ROLLCAGE AND ATTACK THE BODY WITH A MSA FRONT URETHANE LIP, ZG FLAIRS, AND FINALLY A AZZCAR COWL INDUCTION HOOD. I REALLY DON'T NEED TO TOUCH THE MOTOR BECAUSE THE 355 IS PUTTING OUT ABOUT 400 HP AND 400 FT-LBS OF TORQUE WHICH IS MY GOAL ANY WAY.

IT ALSO IS GOING TO NEED BIGGER SNEAKERS....

ANYWAY I WOULD LIKE TO FOLLOW YOUR PROJECT AS IT SEAMS REALLY INTERESTING AND I'M SURE ITS GOING TO BE A TON OF FUN AND CUSS WORDS.

I think that everything I am gonna do is gonna be unique to my car. I plan on reinforcing the chassis, getting new floor pans from MSA also. I like their bumpers kit...http://www.zcarparts.com/store...e=7API dont know how long its gonna take or what all is involved, but I will definately keep all you guys informed.
