Temp. sensor in lower rad. hose

What is the temp. sensor in the lower radiator hose in an 89 240sx SOHC? I am just finishing up a timing chain install and can't seem to find a plug for it. I also don't recall if I disconnected something from it when pulling it all apart. If it is something necessary, could someone tell me where I will find the connector that goes to it? Thanks

By the way, I pulled out all my air conditioner parts. Is that where the conection came from? Thanks again.
