I recently purchased a 1993 240sx and i was driving it for a while and my motor temperature never makes it halfway just a quarter, if i play with the heating like adjust it from 1 to 2 the temp gets colder. Any ideas ?

That isn't really a problem at all.

Also, don't make 5 threads/topics about the exact same thing. (Deleted the extra posts)

Well, it might make it a little less efficient, and maybe you should run thinner oil, I don't know.

But, it seems like either your gague is off, or your thermostat is stuck open, or was replaced with one that opens too cold for the KA.

It should be open at 160-170F, and at room temp it should be totally closed. You could try boiling it to see (and if it's open when you take it out, just replace from the start) or you could try installing a stand-alone gague to check the actual temp.

Another way of checking is that, unless you live somewhere REALLY cold, the motor should warm up normally when you let the car sit and idle. And if you live somewhere colder, and you're driving at freeway speeds in like 10/20 degree weather, especially if you engine break down a big hill at speed, you should see the temp drop pretty quickly.

Or, since it gets most of the way up, you could consider yourself lucky, and only worry if it overheats or simply refuses to warm up at all, in which case you could be damaging the motor driving it like it's warm.
