my sr20 car takes a while to warm up when I just start it a go. also if I am driving on the highway and give her the cars temp acutually comes down quite a bit. I am runnig a s14 rad and I have changed the thermostat twice. I'm not sure what the problem is. This has happen since the sr20 was installed. the car runs great but would like to fix that.

Sounds like you still have a problem with the thermostat.

However, are your fans running all the time?

I've seen people run colder with the upgraded radiators, but never with a stock one. If I had to take a guess, maybe your thermostat is stuck open. Try testing it or replacing.

Are you running the Nismo thermostat? I noticed with mine that my car takes a little while longer to heat up, but not a big deal.

That's cause the Nismo unit is a lower degree thermostat. It opens up sooner, hence the longer warm up time.

i have repalaced the thermostat twice. I don't think thats the problem. I know that the redtops for the s13 use a the same rad as a stock ka24de(1992-1993) I am using a s14 rad.
