It's been going on for a while, when my car is warmed up it only reads about 1/4 warm. When I really push it hard and drive for long mile's it goes up to half, would this be an indication of a bad coolant temp sensor? Any idea's are appreciated. BTW NISSTECH I ordered my new steering rack, was 194 + 95 core. Lifetime warranty so im happy. Is it reccomended to order new outer tie rods with my new setup, or reuse my one's with 259k miles on them?

At that milage I would personnaly recommend replacing them they arent that much. It sounds as if your car is actually running that cool. are you running full time elctric fans? have you replaced the t-stat recently with a lower temp. or if you havent changed it perhaps it is slightly sticking open?

No not running full time electric fans, but It did actually start happening when it started getting cooler; in the summer it would go to the half way point pretty readily. I havn't changed the T-stat, should I replace it just for the heck of it, or not worry about it?

honestly I wouldnt worry about it as long as the gauge isnt sitting on full cold it is showing that the car is heating up.

Alright thanks, I **think** my steering rack came with tie rods, so all I would need is the outer one's. Should I go with stock replacements or grab some TEIN or Moog tie rod ends? The moog are 39 each, im not sure about the TEIN.

I dont think it really matters. I always suggest factory. Have you looked them up in the parts catalog through the link in my sig?

no thats for one. but if factory is only a dollar more then after market. I think you should go with factory. That price is only available through here though. the local dealer is the other price listed.

Alright i'll comfirm if it comes with the inner and if so, i'll pick 2 of those up, thanks for all the help. Im a noob when it comes to the steering rack, so there is the inner tie rod, and the shaft that attaches to that, and then the outher which basically just screws on; or inner is the shaft + the bolt type deal the outer screws onto?

Is this how it is? sorry for the crude drawing

what do you mean 70 miles up the road??? I dont work for pinnicale. They are one of the site sponsors. My dealer doesnt do much advertising along these lines. We arent even listed in the sunday paper main index for area dealers. if you get the sac bee up there look for our dealer in folsom. only turner, future, and elkgrove are listed.

we are also not listed in the yellow pages of the phone book...lol
