I have a S13 redtop in my S14..

yesterday I was going home from work and all of a sudden my tem gauge in my stock cluster started bouncing around???

it didn't go above the half way point but it would bounce downward!?!?! if that makes any sense...

DO any of you know what would cause it to do so?

and where is the water temp sensor is on the SR?? I am wondering if mine went bad??\

BTW, I checked everything, coolant, air bubles, fans.. all are OK.. it's not overheating or anything...

???

any help would be appriciated..

No idea why it would be doing that but I wouldn't trust the cluster temp gauge. It's been known to be inaccurate. The water temp sensor is just behind the throttle body to the right underneath cylinder 1's intake ports. The one on the left is the water temp sensor, the other one is the the one that controls the temp gauge on the cluster I believe.

If you didn't change out the SR's temp sensor with a chassis year KA sensor then your gauge cluster temperature will be inaccurate.

I did swap out the sensor.. It's been working fine untill last Thrusday..??

I guess I'll just have to go pickup an aftermarket temp sensor...

yea, just go ahead and get a water temp gauge. better spend the money now than ruining your whole motor in the future.

Before you buy anything, check your wiring for your stock temp gauge first. Wire might have came loose or something if you just butt connected it or twisted and taped it up.
