temp gauge dances?

I have a 91 240sx and sometimes the temp gauge will dance. Other times it will read normal i believe. I was wondering if anyone new how to fix this problem

by changing your cluster, for another that works better might help.

yea i think im just going to get a whole new gauge cluster from a junk yard. But i was wondering if there was any way to check to make sure that the problem is just the gauge cluster.Thanks Ryan

just do what i what i do sometimes, at the time of purchase ask for guarantee and they should give you like 30 days and if it does not work or fit they woul give you either money back or credit on your next purchase ,so after all you don't lose....
