I have a weird problem with my temp gauge. As long as I am at low speeds and low RPM's my temp reads normal. Once I get to around 2500-3000 RPM's it bottoms out. What the heck is going on?

Sorry but I didn't tell you the make and model of my car. It's a 1990 240SX with a crate motor I put in about eight years ago.

Bottoms out like it reads its full cold?

Can you check to see if the top hose is actually hot still? Maybe your thermostat is stuck open.

i pulled the thermostat and it was fine. I actually bought a new one and checked them both and they work fine.

might be a gauge or voltage problem. Can you monitor voltage while you drive? I think they sell some handy cigarette lighter adapter voltage meters.
