temp gauge on cluster not working on Sr

my problem was the temp gauge..Since i swapped an sr..It doesnt read.. All of the others like my tach, and speedo work..my cars an 89. Im not sure if its compatible with the wiring on the sr. I see some people buy the 91-94 gauge cluster, and i dont kno the results of that. Can anyone explain if that would be a good idea..or would even work?

You have an '89 240 and swapped a redtop into it and didn't change your gauge cluster, and the tachometer is working?

I swapped in an s14 in my s13.. what i didnt include was that.. i bought a 180sx cluster gauge with the 180 km setting..It said that it would work just fine..but ran across the temp problem..

You have to use the temp sender from the ka motor is you use the ka instrument cluster
