Hi. I replaced the upper radiator hose on my 93 240sx yesterday and ran the heater on full while bleeding the system. When I finished, I went to take the car for a test drive and the temperature control lever would only move from hot to the middle and stop. No amount of pressure would budge it toward the cold side. I'm assuming something is just mis-aligned, but need to be pointed in the right direction as to where to look. Thanks a lot.

look under the dash on the pass side. i cant remember where the blend door is but it is activated by that cable. you can also pull the head unit out and check for binding in that end of the cable.

OK, got it fixed, the clamp that holds the outer cable had come apart. Only problem is, when I was adjusting this, I broke my full cold switch. How important is this switch? Thanks for the help.

It's on page HA-90. From what I can tell, when you move the air mix lever all the way to cold, it activates this switch. I was talking w/ a mechanic friend of mine and he was thinking maybe it just signals the compressor to permanently remain on for maximum cooling. I dunno, I just taped the switch part back onto it until I can pick up another one from the u-pull-it. I am curious as to exactly what it does though, lemme know if you find anything out.
