The ecu couldn't care less about your temp. sending unit, and I am almost certain it couldn't care less about the oil pressure sending unit either. So you could always just remove the factory sensors and put in the new ones you have.

I guarentee the ECU does care about the temp sending unit. If it is unhooked, the ECU will think the engine is freezing cold and dump tons of fuel into the mixture waiting for it to warm up. Now you could pull the GAUGE temp sender and use that. But then the gauge in your cluster wouldnt work. So you could splice into that.

As for your oil pressure gauge, i dont believe the ECU is recieving a PSI report on your oil, i think it just knows when there isnt enough. So you might have to get a mechanical pressure sending unit and splice into the oil feed somewhere. One place i know you could do it is by getting a oil filter relocation kit (Nissan motorsports sells one for their external oil cooler kit). But if you plan on racing your car in sanctioned races, you cannot have oil lines passing through your engine compartment, so you will either wind up with an externely mounted mechanical gauge (gauge is under the hood) or have to get an electrical gauge with sending unit.

I used an electronic oil pressure gauge. When i installed it, I made a T-adapter from fittings from the local car-quest, that way i could hook up both stock and auto meter sending units. Also you can splice into the water temp. harness for the other. Just don't make the mistake of using a mechanical oil pressure gauge. I did at first and the **** line leaked after a month and oil ran all over my pillar.

Wrong. The temp sending unit is only for the gauge. The unit that the computer reads from is the coolant temp. sensor. They are not the same thing.
