Telling front brake pads from rear

Hey guys, I'm a car noob and just found some brake pads from my old 2006 G35X. They are Akebono's but I am not sure if they are for rears or fronts. A google search helped me narrow them down to being Akebini ACT888's or ACT905's. Is there any way to tell just by looking at them?

I'm curious because I see the 905's will still work for my 2012 G37 but the 888's will not.


Not sure how to post a picture but I can do that as well if nee be.
