Maybe it's your current ride that you've worked on and shines like a new dime, maybe it was a car from long ago (first car?), maybe it was a car that came along at just the right time and filled a need.

Mine was the last. In college, I bought a 1973 Buick Century that was colored rust, primer, and puke gold. It had no seatbelts because the previous owner cut them out. I had to tell people not to put their feet down too hard in the back seat because the floors were rusted through. Couldn't keep stuff in the trunk because it would fall out.

Given all of that, it beat the hell out of riding the freestyle bike (single speed of course) that I bought in the 8th grade. Or walking everywhere. It had a 2V Buick 350 that could lay a smoky patch and it started every time. I bought it for $500 and got more uh, "play" in that car than one of my buddies did in his new '94 Cobra. Of course, I was just cooler and WAY better looking than him, so chicks dug me. :D

I had a really nice '97 4 runner all pimped out but...

My 240 is by far my favorite ride. Turbo with all the goodies.

1994 Dodge Stealth R/T TT Pearl Yellow. it had a black roof and headlights, so we called it the killer bee. I had a personal tag "klr bee" for the car. I miss that car greatly but I don't miss repairing the transmission bills

1990 Mazda MPV minivan

I took out the middle seat to haul cargo around, and my friends like riding limo-style:D

In high school my friend in his really old Camry sation wagon would always bump me when we were at lights or in parking lots... the car is completely trashed, a couple people hit it in a parking lot once, I didn't see it or get their insurance, so it stays with a big indentation in the driver's side.

Oh, and the interior has a lot of grease from hauling airplane engine aprts around. I also don't let people ignite anything because the inside reeks of gas.

Eh, at least it runs... plus I will get me a 240 by summer ;)

My father's 64 Ferrari 330 America. 4 liter V-12, 3 double barrel weber carbs, borrani wire wheels, 4speed w/electric overdrive, mohagany steering wheel, leather interior. Exotic, fast and a thrill to drive. I put a lot of miles on that machine.Runners up in coolness: Immaculate '65 Corvair Monza, '89 240sx, '66 International Harvester Travellal. Think Suburban but tougher.

It was about 5 years ago....

I had just finished some active duty time and came to Minneapolis from Fort Sill.My life savings burning a hole into my pocket ($11,000).So I wanted to buy a nice car REAL BAD>

I had heard of Q45's before and remember really liking them, but I was really set on finding a Millenia maybe even a hi mile Millenia S.

So this is what I sent out to find...But I was open to other cars as well, and went to a dealer who has a lot of higher mile but kinda recent imports.I had bought from him before.

I walked onto the lot my pocketrs full of cash. And then I saw it!!!!

An Ivory pearl quartz 1992 Infiniti Q45.It was just standing there, completely confident in it its angelic presence. It actually KNEW it was beautiful, I could tell.It had a soul, all Infiniti's do...The sun shining on its flawless paint,.. the tiny pearlescent flakes twinkling.I opened the door with almost religious reverence, as the smell of its soft leather wafted out into the open...when I sat down into it, surrounded by its classy cocoon like interior, it was like a relevation.I <knew> then that this was my car.Starting up the engine listening to it purr, testdriving it, was an almost religious experience.:angel

After gently patting its hood, I went to haggle for it, luckily the salesman didnt rape me too badly, he could have, I would have paid ANYTHING ( I paid $8500).

This car was meant for me and I for it.When I took it home, I was almost in a trance driving it the greenishlky backlit gauges dancing before my eyes as I drove, ( I had slept about 2 hours the previous night).

The next day in the morning I just sat in it , opened all the doors, touched the sahara beige leather, cleaned the engine bay and checked the oil about 6 times.

It was the nicest car I had ever owned....even nicer than the brand new Paassat GLX I had bought new just a few years earlier.

I have a hard time with this one...My Coolest car is one I dont have YET. HeHe I did have an 1987 Fiero GT that was pretty cool.It was riced out with some Iroc hood scoops,a taste full body kit,and some old school AR 5 star rims.It was droped a bit and had custom mufflers.V6 right ofver the back tires.Very fun car. After some motor mods I couldnt keep it from wanting to overheat at idle so I traded it for a 1992 300zx.(which is a story in its onw right)

Would have to be of course....my Emerald Blue S14....

I had been an Accord Se-i owner before, and that was my first car. After investing 3k into it in ONE month, I knew it was time to buy. I was blessed by the heavens when I found the ONLY S14 for sale in a 150mile radius. The internet site didnt' have a pic of the car, and I almost didn't go an look. Thankgod I did.....and when I bought her, I knew I got a great car...but if I would of only knew what I was really buying....! Unless I drive a new Z or BMW M3, I would probably never consider driving another car......espcially after you all see her in a couple months.....hehe....the saga begins!

my 1990 champiagn 240sx hatchback! with a slightly modded Ca18det motor !!! its been like a child from birth, hand building it my self ... its such a thrill to just sit behind that wheel knowing that the car isnt just your average every day american 240sx. its still very hard to believe that i actually own a turbo 240sx, its been 3 years in the making, i never thought i would have it, it still hasnt fully sunk in... i went through a lot of things since buying my first 240, and the day i put that money down on the motor made it all worth the wait . now if only i could get this damn thing to run for more then a week at a time with out doing somthing new to it!!!!

Damn this car

My 1977 280Z was the coolest car I've ever owned. I had it while I was in highschool and the other punks made fun of it because it was bright yellow. The hood of the Z has a section that is risen and comes down to a point, this section was painted balck and outlined in red. I don't know if that was stock or done by someone, it looked professional.

The inside was gorgeous! Black leather/vinyl, black carpets, black dash. It felt like the bat-mopbile inside. Speakers hung from the roof and dangled behind the driver and passenger seat. The 4-speed trans was tight and the car felt super fast to me (it was my first car, pre-Q). It didn't look cool but I sure felt cool while driving it.

I've only owned three cars, but my favorite would have to be my 1st - an 86 VW Vanagon with a 4 speed. It's waterboxer four put out an amazing 90 hp and could top out at nearly 95 mph (downhill). Hey, I could even spin the tires in 1st gear (only in the rain).Imagine a 2-ton 911 with a high center of gravity... FUN!!!I once crammed 15 guys in there on the way to a party. And if someone passed out at the party, you just open up the back and roll them in. And for those "special" moments, the rear seat could fold down into a nice queen size bed.My friends called it the Mystery Machine (from Scooby Doo). A pair of subwoofers handled the tunes, perfect for college road trips. I had plans for a LCD monitor that folds down from the ceiling, but it overheated on me one night and destroyed the cylinder heads. Hell, it had about 350,000 miles on it when the odometer stopped working. It'll be back on the road someday, maybe with an aircooled 911 motor!!!

1985 300zx turbo. Almost everything was rusted, suspension was shot, fuel injectors leaked, and I gutted the interior...with all that said it was a sickly fast car. Nothing like beating on 00 GS-Rs and 00 Si's with your 1000 car...there were a lot of pissed street racers 2 years ago.
