Since I am at school now, my car sits in the school parking lot for months outside and the weather has taken a toll on the QX4. The running boards are falling off, my fog light is filled with water, and my HID fogs no longer work. That being said my interior is mint as well as my mechanics. Due to this, and the current weather I've been really considering changing my car from a street truck to what a pathfinder truly should be.

How do I remove my running boards, and where can I purchase rock sliders?

Who makes the best brush guards, for a cheap price?

Who sells the best lift kits for the price, as well as cargo baskets?

How can I install a light bar?

I would say just fix the problems and keep it pretty well stock. If you don't offroad, then dressing it up will just cost a couple grand and add weight, all while making resale more difficult.

added weight burns more gas, also not being as sleek creates more drag when driving at higher speeds equals burning more gas, and putting a lift on will burn more gas.

Basically stay away from it like Chris.m said if you dont offroad, if you do start to offroad, well the interior wont be mint anymore, and your body sure as hell wont.

And if you do, do this just for appearance and look, your will be throwing money in a black hole for burning gas that it shouldnt be. So instead of doing all this, throw me the 4 grand you will drop on it, plus the money for the extra gas it will burn so i can get my custom exhaust done, turbo, trans swap and aluminum driveshaft because its something i'll use.

15 minutes to take off the running boards, assuming they're not rusted. If they are, spraying some PB Blaster a couple times a day for a few days should loosen them up.

A replacement aftermarket fog light (entire assembly plus bulb) is around $70, looks and works identically to the OEM one (which is around $100). HID fogs? Dead ballasts or bulbs, probably. Your issues can be fixed for pretty cheap.

Oh, I figured your glass got cracked or something. So for the cost of a good tube of sealant, new bulbs, and maybe some PB Blaster you'll be set.

Dont bother.... if youre trying to think money wise, DONT DO IT.

like everyone said, if all that is for aesthetic purposes it's not worth it.

Even if you happen to find something "cheap" chances are, thats what they are. CHEAP. You get way you pay for.

-You'll burn more gas = more money = less money for school / play timei
-Your cheap Rock sliders will fall off after hitting its first speed bump
-Your brush guard will (assuming youre gonig the chrome route like you wanted before) will oxidize and look like garbage unless you polish it everyday and even then thats if it hasnt fallen off yet
-Best lift kit? I thought you wanted to save money... so thats completely out of the question is it not?
-Why do you even need a cargo basket? is your school bag REALLY that heavy?
-lightbar. Come on man... really? Just reseal the Fog lights.

Im not trying to bash you, Im trying to open up your eyes as to the money you're throwing away. Maybe its not yours, maybe its your late grandparents or your hard working parents.
Be practical, Dont just do things to look cool. Little things here and there but when youre talking 1k+ on aesthetics that you will hardly be using, its just not worth it.

EDIT :: and yes, I do have alot of doodads and flashy things on my truck as well. But comparing to you, youre switching back and forth between street - offroad - mall crawl - parking lot warrior.

not to mention the only thing thats not really non functional is my underglows that I got from buddy.
