I honestly think the comparison between the two is retarded. look at the basics... 4wd, 4 seater at $80,000 with a V6 vs a 2wd, 2 seater $130,000 V8 PURPOSE FREAKING BUILT CAR. The GTR was made to be an all day every day supercar, affordable, reliable, driveable, relatively economic, and as far as emissions goes, its cleaner than any supercar ever. The ZR1 is far from the GTR's spectrum. Very far. like not even a black hole's distance far. Hopefully Nissan will build a 500hp version of the new 5.0 (maybe a bored/stroked version?) and stuff it in a lighter, 2 seat, G37 chassis and give it a 200mph 6 speed transmission to compete with all these cars like the Corvette series, M3, and other V8 2wd 6-figure supercars that keep getting thrown into comparisons with the GTR. Its quite respectful, actually. The whole world recognizes the GTR as the absolute Pinnacle of automotive perfection, so they are comparing everything to it. Even things that have nothing to do with it. Hell I saw a comparison between the GTR and the 4 horsemen of the apocolypse. Yes, the Horsemen won. duh. but my point is the inmeasureable amount of respect the GTR is getting with these apples to oranges comparisons. Even the apples to carbide-fusion-tenyltectronics comparisons. Its all in recognition of how mighty the GTR is. No matter how obscure or unbelievable the comparison is.
