Here's the deal... I don't know much about car audio/video, and this is probably the 2nd time ive looked in this forum. What I want is a decent priced system that thumps nice and sounds good. I dont want any car show quality systems... I just want to be able to have a good amount of bass when I want to, but still be able to hear the music haha. I know I should research and everything but this really isnt a passion of mine and you guys obviously have alot more knowledge than me. I really dont want to spend alot of money, but im not going to lowball anything. So... whats the best bang for my buck? I want a full system: subs, amp, 6.5s in the door.

all JL audio stuff. From the speakers, to the mid amp, to the sub amp, to the sub itself. All JL.

well i'll agree with altiman about goin with JL subs & amps... but for speakers up front if you're willing to install components (6.5" with seperate tweeter & cross-over) then go for CDT's, MB Quart, or some Infinity's. i wouldn't spend any less than $150 for a decent component set. pretty sure http://www.thezeb.com has the CDT CL-61a's for 150 which is a super good deal for that set.

i had a rockford fosgate power 451s amp powering a polk/momo mm10 (a subwoofer and enclosure, matched for each other and all ready wired up). this was an excellent combo, but i am moving up to more of a competition setup. my amp is on ebay right now, but i will sell it to you and take it off for $100 plus shipping. polk/momo mm10s are going for like $150, so for $250 youll have a setup that hits hard, saves space, and more importantly saves weight. let me know, my email is [email protected]
