A friend recently bid and won an auction for Tein tie rod(s) on Ebay. I looked at the listing myself and was convinced it was for a single unit. Now I ordered my Tein's a couple years back and they were sold as a pair. A few people I know also bought them as a pair. Now I never saw the packaging, mine went straight to a shop and installed from there. Long story short, the auction was in fact for a single rod. Needless to say my buddy is disapointed (read: pissed) and pretty much chunked it in the waste-basket.Well before the garbage man comes on Saturday, can these things be purchased individually? I have found the Tein website to be...useless in this regard.Thoughts or suggestions?

They sell them in pairs. Mine came in a box that was just big enough for 2, along with the japanese instructions. I doubt a shop will sacrifice a pair to sell a customer just one.

If I were you, I'd try a couple things.- Call up Tein by phone, and ask. They usually have pretty good customer service. (they're SoCal corporate office is actually a few blocks away from my gf's house, lol)

- Hang around drift shops. After a crash thats ended with only one side impact, they usually either toss out the good tie rod (just hope that its Tein) or sell em..

Thanks for the suggestion. I will go ahead and give my friend a 6 pack of Blue Moon for the rod and give Tein a call on Monday.Worst case scenario, I will have a spare for myself.
