I plan on buying the Tein Street Advance Coilovers. I was just wondering if there is anything else that is required when buying coilovers? I don't know too much about suspension.

Your best bet is to talk to your supplier about any requirements for the setup you are buying as they should know their specs and needs. Most coilovers require adjustable tension rods and upper control arms to compensate for the lowered operating height geometry, and some may not...and Tein if I recall correctly may be one of them with an adjustable camber plate, just not sure if tension rods are still needed.

i just installed a set on my 93 and they are worth every penny, you will need to use your stock upper mounts. basically you will use the stock parts from the spring up so there is a bit more involved in the install because you have to take apart your stock stuff and add the upper mounts to the tein coilovers but no big deal.

i love these coilovers because you get the ride height adjustment as well as great feedback from 16 levels of dampening that you can actually feel but mixed with using your stock rubber upper mounts the ride is still very good.

i did install front adj upper control arms as well as rear upper control arms to adjust my camber front and rear. do you have to install these parts well no not really, it all depends on how much you want to lower the car and how aggressive your wheel and tire choices are. im running

18x9.5 +22 wheels with 225-40-18 tires on the front
18x10.5 +22 wheels with 255-35-18 tires in the rear

with this wheel tire combo you will need the upper arms to get your wheels to fit and adjust camber back to what you want to run or factory specs.

before i put my news wheels and tires on i just lowered the car about 2.5 inches on the stock wheels and i really didnt see that much more camber than stock.
i would say that if your budget allows for you to purchase the control arms go ahead and do it. if you are going to do the coilover install and the car is jacked up and you have tools out you might as well put the adjustable arms on, but if your budget it tight and you cant do the arms for a few months as long as you dont lower the coilovers all the way and rub fender then you shoulf be ok camber wise until you can get some arms and make an adjustment.
