I was reading another thread and read that TEIN springs are as good as, if not better than, Eibach springs? Please advise me :\ I wanna lower my car a bit to close that gap and feel that it isn't necessary to get coilovers because it'd be lowering my car for a lot of money. But then i'm hearing that the springs are going have a lot of wear and tear on my tires and shocks?? please help me out!

I'm looking at the S.Tech and High.Tech Springs. SAid to be compatible with any altima 02+? (i'm assuming it means 2002+. Please correct me if i'm wrong)

The only reason you would wear out tires would be from alignment, which should be done after the spring install. It is possible to take some life of the shocks/struts but really not an issue as the springs rates are similar to oem. I would recommend the H Techs as they will provide less of a drop and a bit softer spring rates which will help the ride quality. (f)1.9"/(r)1.4" drop on the s tech vs (f)1.3"/(r).8" on h techs.

The part number for either suggests 02-06 Altima. I can't find anything in the Tein data base for anything after 06 on the Altima.

A bit of research tells me the Tein's will not work and Eibach has an application for 08-09 Altima Coupe.

Yeah that's what I've been reading so I'm thinking I'm going to jus have to go with eibachs or wait a but and see if tein comes out with anything for the new altima :/

02-06 Tein springs will NOT work on our cars.

The only thing that Tein makes that is currently on the market for the Altima Coupe 08+ is the Super Street Damper Coilovers. S.Tech springs will be available very soon for the AC. They currently do not make any H.Tech springs, nor do I believe any are in development.

I do know they're prototyping Basic Damper coils for the Altima Coupe (which are a step below the Super Street - do NOT have adjustable dampening).

Coilovers are the absolute best way to go for the overall package if you have the money (not only better looks, but better performance and handling). But, if all you're doing is going for looks, go for the springs. That's what I'm doing temporarily.

XenonSE-R: The basic coilovers have been prototyped for quite some time. They are in production and should be out end of August/early September. Hopefully along with that shipment, the S.Techs will be out as well.

The Basic coilover damper settings is around the middle of the super street coilovers. Which is currrently what I run on my SS coils, around the middle. So far the ride is great at the setting.

So I was doing some research on the S.Tech and the H.Tech springs and the reason I chose H was because it didn't drop as much as the S and I don't need it to drop as much. Would I be able to choose how much I wanted it to drop? Like is it adjustable? I don't need it to drop too much or else i'm afraid i'll have to camber my tires a bit and have to alternate them every few k miles. :\ if the S.Techs aren't adjustable I think i might just have to stick with Eibach? :\

Also, I see that you changed out the intake on your engine. Was it worth the money? Like..is it really that much better for you engine? or did you just get a nice humming sound. I'm also a little interested about that, but I was told that It's not worth the money for the AC

Any spring alone is not adjustable. ONLY coilovers allow for adjustment of height and some have adjustment of the dampening.

to my knowledge the s.techs were the only tein springs prototyped and slated for production for the A/C, so h.techs would not be an option

Yeah..I found that out after I did some more searching. I got the Eibachs on now and I like them. I don't think I wanna go any lower or else I'm gonna have trouble going over bumps. Thanks for your input though!
