The link was for s13 springs. I, for one, hate them. The super stiffness is not a good tradeoff considering you will retain 4x4 status. The drop is negligible on s13's. Can't speak for s14's...

I have them with KYB AGX's... worst mod I've done. I hear Eibach Sportlines will get you lower and feel better. IMO, you should get entry level coilovers... But you probably won't listen. Few ppl ever do...

H-Techs are half the drop of the S-Techs and give a luxury ride...

I'm running h-tech's with gr-2's and are perfect for my DD. I used to have eibach sportlines with tokico blues. I can honestly say that it actually handles way better, rides smoother, and is an improvement overall with the tiens. My sig has them installed and I'm willing to sacrafice a lower stance for better performance. Best money I spent on the car (besides the sr). Remember with strut/spring combo's (not coilovers) lower isn't better unless your going for look over function. Before i get flamed read this article, the part about lowering is 8 paragraphs down http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0ge....html

QFT. If you want both a low drop and decent performance, get good coils and set them up right. We don't need SCC writing anymore articles about 240's with bad setups only meant for sliding... (although, I think that was mostly due to lsd choice)

But SCC's new suspension article has got me considering tein coils again, plus I really want their sticker and Dampachi...

Agreed, coilovers are far superior to any spring/strut combo. As far as lowering springs go I've known for a long time that overlowering isn't good and the article backs up everything I've learned over the years.

Yeah those are h-techs, it looks like a dune buggy but rides like a cadillac compared to my previous set up.

dunno what you're talking about... i had the same setup on my car, it wasnt "4x4 status" and the ride was anything but too stiff. to me it felt like how the car SHOULD have handled from the factory. not the best, but certainly not as bad as you make it out to be. some people do not need to pay for adjustability and deal with relatively high spring rates on a daily driven car.

ooOoo. Nice low stance on you 240 d!ck. No hint of 4x4 anywhere lol. Now if only I could get some new damper to remove my 4x4 height!

I'm not one to slam a car, but a 3 finger gap in the back, w/ 2 finger gap up front is no longer acceptable to me. But who knows, maybe there's something wrong in my suspension that makes it feels needlessly rough. Probably my bushings... I'll put this master kit in someday...

QFT, I hear way to much of people hating, because people dont want coilovers, a matter of fact, I think its super ricer to get $$$$ coilovers for DD (not everyone has perfect roads around).Seriously 90% of the people on this forum got coilovers just for the drop, and only 1% use them to full potential, correctly corner balancing them, correctly setting them up etc.

I personally run a used kyb agx shock/skunk2 spring combo(220 used for this), 04 z touring wheels, stock tires and z brakes. ! fingure wheel gap all around if on my s14. I do pretty damn well in autox`s and HPDE events, I constantly own dumped s on coils s-chassis on the track/course.

To the OP, in the end of my long rant, I hope this helps the guys decision.

PS, not everyones a drifter.

^^^finally not a bandwagoneer for coils.... i love how half the ppl that hate on spring/shocks never tried them or picked crappy products and then ***** when they blow their shocks

coils are great if ur going to beat your car on a track every weekend, but come on driving around town has to be a pain, especially if u live somewhere that has alot of potholes

for auto x etc a good spring shock combo can actually be better than coils, im currently running koni adjustible shocks with RSR springs and the drop is damn nice for my DD..... it handles like a dream and while i couldve bought entry coils for wat i spent on this set up it is by no means "inferior"

I will say this, s14's seem to respond to lower springs alot better than s13's. I dropped my Zenki on Eibach Prokits w/ Tokico Blues and I very happy with that drop (It's lower than my s13 with milder springs!) and the ride feel is like heaven!

I'll stick with this setup for the s14, but my s13 needs coils bad IMO...

And I hate that 240 drivers are synamous with drifters too... I'm not into that either.

Any pics???? My Zenki didnt pass inspection because all my struts are done. Dont have money for coils so I need the next best thing. Thanks in advanced.

True, and true... ill roll with that, s14`s do respond better with spring setups.
