I was looking for a mild comfortable drop that would allow me to use spacers for that flush Euro wide look without rubbing.

The Tein "HT" advertises a 1.2" front and .5" drop. My car started at OEM heigth of 28.25" front and 27.5" rear. After installing the springs my heigth is about 27" plus or minus 1/8 inches all the way around. Came out perfect!!!

The handling has improved about 10% and the ride quality is about the same quite frankly. Maybe 3% degraded if that. Can't be more pleased. Needless to say I'm very happy with the end result and HIGHLY recommend these springs.

I complimented the drop with 15mm spacers to complete the look. The spacers actually (IMO) did more for appearance than the drop. Today I saw a stock M35 sport's stance and I can tell you mine looks WAY better. Kinda night and day better. Onto the pics...

AS YOU CAN SEE PERFECTLY LEVELNOTICE THE NICE FLUSH LOOK DUE TO THE SPACERS This pic is before the dropNOTICE THE NICE WIDE STANCE DUE TO THE SPACERS

Here's a link to where I bought my springs-they are not coilovers. (tein part#SKP60-BUB00) . Very fast shipping!http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ories

Here is a link to the best price I could currently find on the spacers (Eibach part# 90.4.15.001.4).http://www.jazzproparts.com/Ei...2.htm

Forgive my friend for I have sinned. Thanks for the compliment.

now that's more like it!

thanx for the info. do you know the what the benfit is by doing full coilovers as opposed to going with just the coils? if im not blind, your car looks just as good as any other "M" that has done a full coilover setup. am i missing something?

A "high-end" set of coilovers will allow full heigth adjustability as well as comfort to handling adjustments. High for the winters and low for show and summers-soft for cruising and hard for racing. Springs are not adjustable. A nice set of coilovers such as "JIC's" will allow you to go really low without compromising ride quality too much.

Coilovers are nice but be prepared to pay $2500 as oppose to $215 before installation.

Eibachs are nice if you want to go down about another .5 inches. I personally prefered a mild drop to level her off. I can still go over speed bumps and driveways in a normal fashion.

I got mine on this weekend. Fronts only as well. Love it. She sits much better now.

Yes, coilovers are not just for visual aesthetics. Their purpose goes far beyond that. Also to add, coilover kits are matched. Meaning the strut/ shock and springs are matched to work together to give the best possible ride & handling at any given setting.

Lowering springs on the other hand are not matched to work perfectly with your factory struts/ shocks. They basically just lower your car. The main reason this increases handling is due to the lower center of gravity it gives a vehicle.Ride quality is always usually affected.

Of course there is a big price difference. You pay for what you get.

Do the rears as well. You'll be even happier. It is a half inch or less. She will sit perfect after that and handling/ride will be improved.

I hear ya. I do believe the spring thing has been greatly exaggerated in terms of spring to shock and strut relationship ie matched. Fact: Car rides just as good and handles even better. Period!

Keep in mind this is only a 1.2 inch drop on the front and only .5 inches on the rear. The rear is a wash. The front is minor. It does not have the really nice/low drop of coilovers, but it does level the car out. Furthermore no noises or other issues.

Like you said, you get what you pay for but...in my opinion the springs are far better value.

Now I have over two thousand more to improve upon the music (add a sub), tint, roof spoiler, ect...

To each his/her own.

Nannn I'm gonna pass on the rears. I have 20s on mine and I have about lil less than inch clear now. 1/2 inch drops me lil too close for comfort to my tire on my 9.5 rim size. I like it now because the gaps are even. Kids & luggage back and I'll be scraping coming out of my sloped driveway.

Ride quality is the same to me...but I'm big fiend on that. Its a sport, rides like sport. I'm happy.
