Since my suspension has settled and I have new wheels and tires, I decided to have the dealer do a (4) wheel alignment. My car has been dropped 1.3 inches in the front and .5 inches in the rear. This is the mildest drop I know of for our M's.

Left & Right Front Camber Spec. .5 to -1.0 Degrees

Left front ended at -1.2 Degrees Right front ended at -1.4 degrees

Left & Right Rear Camber Spec. -.3 to -1.3 Degrees

Left Rear ended at -1.3 Degrees Right Rear ended at -1.6 Degrees

Caster, Toe, Steer Ahead, Total Toe, and Thrust Angle ended dead on.

So in a nutshell I'm out by .2 & .4 degrees in the front--and .3 degrees on the right rear. Oh well.

Needless to say, more aggresive drops worsen the situation. And of course more negative offsets on wheels worsen the situation as well.

If you drop your car and care about tire wear, consider getting a camber kit right away (if they are available), because you're going to need one.

I just had discount tires put on my work 19" wheels today with Michelin tires. Running staggered setup...and man, do I want to drop my ride with the Tein springs.

My big concern will be tire cost factor.......I know you drop your car already,,but do you have any regrets?

Also, how are the tires holding up?

As far as I'm concerned, the best thing I have done to the car is drop it. I'm just glad I went for a conservative drop.

I really don't have enough solid history on wear patterns. Ask me in 9 months.

I am out of Spec. But it's not HUGE! We shall see...

I think the what really compliments wheels is a drop.

Go low or stay home.

07sportm35,

sounds like the tein ht is not a bad way to go. wish we had some numbers from the eibachs for compairison.

btw, do you know if tein makes those springs for the m45? I can not find them. I find the M35 application at several places! If tein doesnt make them for the m45, looks like the eibachs are in my future!

Well, I am trying to sigh myself out and telling my other me that a Tein drop is what I need. Yes it's going to cost me more money down the road,,but who ever said looking nice is cheap?

I just wish there was a camber kit that is available for the M35,,,hopefully the aftermarket ppl will bring that to the market down the road. I see plenty of camber kit for the G35/G37 ppl,,,,not the M since they figure it's an older crowd that drives them. In any event, thanks for the honest information bud.

Putting my order in for the Tein springs now!!

the drop with the eibachs is more pronounced. i didn't measure but visually, there is little wheel gap using stock 18s and given my calculations, would be same with sport 19s as the effective wheel/tire diameter shouldn't be changed that much.

as for camberfront essentially at 1.9-2 degrees neg camberrear 2.3-2.5 degrees.

a little aggressive for some. i probably would not run staggered so as to not limit my rotation options to even out tire wear.
