It gives you better handling also. Can also make the ride feel better. The OEM springs were very tall and bouncy and less stable than I liked. I added a set of lowering springs, and feel like it ride better, handles better, and is more stable.

Hey William, thanks for checking out our post. We could go on and on, explaining the benefits of suspension tuning, but a simple approach to answer your question is basically this: by lowering a vehicle, the vehicle's center of gravity is lowered (not to mention, a bit of style points added as well). If done right with the proper spring/ shock set up, this will increase vehicle stability/ handling and control, under acceleration, deceleration, turn in and turn out.

If your car is just a daily driver, a set of lowering springs that are designed to work with the OEM shock , like the TEIN S-tech, will suffice. There are also many other brands out there who test their spring with the OEM shock. This will ensure the best ride quality if you still have your OEM shocks. A basic, entry level coil-over, like the TEIN Basic, is also a great alternative, if you are looking to replace your shocks.

Again, there is just so much to discuss about suspension tuning. Most important to remember, every person/ driver is different and has different suspension wants/needs. If you would like more information on which type of suspension would work best for you, feel free to drop us a PM.

Thanks again

Very well said, it is very important that the vehicle owner him/herself enjoys the mod. and feels the improvement. Most important :dblthumb:

If you go to my website you'll see our Versa on the AutoX track and it is currently running Tanabe Springs with Tokico Adjustable Shocks...we will be changing that in the fall to full Coil Overs after were thru testing out the current setup this setup has almost fifty thousand miles on it with no problems to date, my other cars I currently own have everything from full Coil Overs to just the lowering Springs one of the first mods I do to any car I have. The most important thing about Coil Overs and almost never talked about and one of the main reason for them is not so much to "Slam" the car but to corner weight the car with the Driver in the car so that it is perfectly balanced and with my cars that have Coil Overs this is what we have done and they all act like they are on rails when cornering and very predictable. If you go with either just the lowering springs or full Coil Overs the Versa/Cube will handle a ton better including any evasive actions or side winds etc.just plain better control makes it a whole lot more fun to drive. Tein makes excellent products and ATI can set you up with them if Tein is your choice. Either one you'll have fun and "Enjoy the Ride".
