Just checking, but when putting the end on the rod, are you supposed to have the end on the same number of threads as the stock? There are 6 threads showing on the inner rod on the stock, so am I supposed to have that many showing on the new assembly? I ask because the setup appears to be too short, unless I put on the spacer, then the two are the same length. How is this setup supposed to make my steering angle greater when the two are the same length? Sorry if this is confusing, but I described it as best as I can. I need a FAST answer, as my car is in the air and I need to get these on and to an alignment shop ASAP.

No, the rod is longer.

You need to set it by eye, and have the vehicle aligned.
