tein h-tech install??

not sure if the s-tech is similar, but to those who install these springs on the s13.....i'm confused...determining which side is up and down..... is the part with the rubber wrapping around it facing down or up??.....

i took my stock spring out and it seems like the side with the more flatter surface is facing up....of course on the teins, the more flatter surface side is facing down.....i'm referring to the front spring and not rear....hopefully someone can answer within the next 20 min since i'm installing them right now....
