anyone have experience with these?EDFC(Electronic Damping Force Controller)these are only compatible with Tein products?i was looking into getting suspension done.. but i didnt know which would be a good candidate to pick.. im not into any drag racing/auto-x or any of that sort.. just looking for comfortable ride, without the huge wheel gaps..

i heard the KYB AGX's were pertty good, but i never rode in a 240sx with them on..

any of you guys' inputs would be appreciated.. i have a 1990 240sx.

thanks

what is the point of having an edfc? Does it actually adjust damping as you are driving, or just alow you to adjust damping without physically adjusting the shock? Because adjusting your shock is really not much of an issue. I can get all 4 of my kts adjusted in about 1 minute.

Please explain.

Yeah the EDFC lets you adjust damping while you are driving. I considered it before i got my KTS coils, but in the end, its not work the almost 400bux or all the wiring. If you have time and money to blow, yeah it would be neat, but im sure the novelty would wear off in about a week. now if it could adjust height, preload and damping, THEN it would totally be worth it

edfc is a usless waste of money. any suspension that is compatible with it is inferior because it is only usable with a non inverted front shock setup. its basically just 300$ worth of step motors that turn little alan wrench things on the damper knobs. also if im not mistaken it voids the warranty if you use it while the car is moving (not that they could ever tell, but its retarded that its not good to use it with the car moving, making it even more useless).

save your money on that.

agx is a good entry level shock if thats the way you want to go.

yeah, i was thinking of the agx's and tien springs like what one of the members on here i talk to frequently..but that totals to about 400-500 and i thought i could just spend a few more and get some coilovers or something?

but ^^ said coilover =/= comfort

coilovers are fine for daily street driving, anyone who tells you otherwise is a *****.

s tune or r tune? s tune coilovers are a pre matched shock and spring combo with no adjustment. r tune are height adjustable through preload and i believe they are not bound/rebound ajudstable but i could be wrong on that one. they also allow for front camber adjustment.

Definitly get coilovers over a tein/agx combo. That was the combo I started out with and hated it. The springs felt a little harder than stock, but were still verry cushy. The ride height of the car looked weird too, like the back was dropped more than the front. to me it looked like i was on hydros with the front up in the air. ok maybe it wasnt that bad, but i didnt like it. just get coilovers and you'll be happy. if the ride is too harsh for you, you can always get softer springs later.
