I heard that coilovers do not wrok with stock tire and wheel set up. Well I am planning to get a set of Tein coilovers (FLEX), a set of tires sized 205/60-15 (Yokohama AVS ES100) and a set of wheels sized 15x7 (Volk Racing TE37). I am probably need a positive offset right? I think if the offset is zero it would interfere with the coilovers? But wouldn't a negative or zero offset best for a fr car? By the way this is for a 1993 Nissan 240SX Hatchback. Thanks

Sorry about the typos, typing too fast:"I heard that coilovers do not WORK with stock tire and wheel set up.""I am probably GOING TO need a positive offset right?""But wouldn't a negative or zero offset BE best for a fr car?"Sorry again.

as far as I know, stock wheels/tires work fine with coilovers, is aftermarket wheels and things that push the inner lip of the wheel/tire closer to the strut that causes problems.

you would want a 35 or 40mm offset since yor using an OE size , search around, we discussed the "ideal suspension" line theory about changing the offset too much in another thread quite extensively.-chet
