From what I understand, Tein makes very good coil-overs. So which type of Tein coil-overs are the best for street use and sometimes drag use? They seem to make alot of different types. I'm not really looking for a drift set up because I know the difference between real life and Initial D. I just need a very firm ride and a good drag launch. If anyone thinks they know of coil-overs better than Tein, let me know.

HAs are the best street/strip set-up honestly. They have spring rates that arent off a covered wagon and are more than adequate for street/strip use. Too stiff of a spring and you are gonna hate them because 90% of the street tires wont allow you to make use of the stiffer suspension. HAs w/ Pillow Ball Mounts are the best set-up. You can also get the Drift set-up and drive grip.

Remember to check what your getting when you order because I dont believe the HA's come with the ball mounts, they have to be ordered seperately. That is why they are cheaper than HE's. The HE's are designed for drifting and come with the ball mounts. Anything with an R before it is overkill unless your car is for offroad use only.

You really dont need the pillowball mounts. I have the standard HA's on my IS300 and I have been a very satisfied customer from the day i installed them. I run about a 2 1/2 inch drop and firmness is set right in the middle at 8 clicks for daily driving. Veyr nice setup althought you get a little rattle from the helper springs in the rear on bumpy roads.

all of the Tein line is great. The pillow mounts can be adjusted for camber. So if you want to go through tires, or don't, its up to whom ever.
