Well, I'd go with Megan since they come with camber plates for the front. You won't be able to do that with Tein basic. You have to buy separately if you want camber plates. Mega is more bang for the buck. Sorry, can't tell you about ride quality.

Man, there have been several threads on this topic recently. Scroll through the first few pages of this forum and you'll probably find several. The general consensus however is that Megan is the way to go.

w00t Ksport, meh

I think Megan has moved up the quality of thier stuff. I'm deffinetly buying thier new S14 RUCA's and rear toe links. I would pretty much never buy Tein Basics. Height only? Come on. I would do Rs-r Race with Kyb AGX or Koni before something with no dampening adjustability. I just bought Ksports (745 shipped) and I'd take them anyday over Basics or any spring/shock combo. At some point you are just paying for a name.

Thanks for the input, I really didn't search before posting this thread. Sorry for any repetition. Seems 240 owners all share the consensus that megan racing products are great.

I actually had never heard of Megan Racing before a couple months ago and I've heard of Tein and seen their sticker on ton of quality built cars. However, I trust the experience and first hand knowledge of nico which is why i posted.

Thanks for the info guys

Not yet.

I searched like crazy before I started my suspension upgrade. Started from AGX and springs then moved to K-Sport, Basic, Megan and KTS... Guess what? Ended up getting Stance GR+ Pro. I know I paid a lot, but I was really happy with my decision. Take your time, think about it for a while and do it cuz you don't want to regret and do it again.

Coming from someone who owns Tein Basics, get the Megans. If you are going to pay full reatil price for both than the Teins dont compare at all. I got my Teins for cheap though, so they are more than justified.

Well ive had the tein basics on my old S13 before. I bought them because of the name, and because Megan hadnt aquired a good reputation yet. Everybody still dogged on them. I thought the tein's were a great coilover. The car was very well balanced. If they atleast came with upper adjustable camber plates it might be worth getting instead of the megans. If I was to choose right now i'd pick megans.

Megans are monotube and Teins are twintube, so I would think Megans would be better by far...
