whats up, Ive had TEIN basics on my s13 for 2 years now and Ive decided to swap the rear springs to 5 kg/mm as compared to the 6 kg/mm standard springs. Its just too stiff for street use. because the dampening is non adjustable, how will this impact the handling? should I re-valve the shock? also, where would I get 5 kg/mm springs?

thanks- graham

In general Tein has a +or- 1Kg amount of play build in to the basic coilover to allow you to go up or down by that small amount. In the end contact Tein directly at 1-562-861-9161 and ask one of their techs to be sure.

Such a small change in rear spring rate won't produce a dramatic difference in handling, though you may notice a bit more understeer, but also maybe a bit traction coming out of corners.
