Is Awesome, Y/N?

These shows on MTV are cracking me up. I LOL how at the end of *every* episode the 17 year old d-bag guy vanishes and the 16 year old girl is just SO INCREDIBLY SURPRISED.

This show is the best thing since Whale pen15 Foreskin Leather Interiors.

Discuss.

I haven't seen it. The only MTV I watch is MTV Jams.

It sounds like I may need to check it out.

Does anyone else think that some stupid girls will be getting pregnant just to be "cool" like the girls on the show?

I actually hate those shows. I hated it even more, when i saw an episode in which the teen mom was so darn retarded. She loves the guy, he gets her pregnant, bails on her for months, and starts dating another girl. A week after he was probably dumped by the other girl, he returns to his "baby momma's" side. I laughed at her retardedness, cause throughout the whole time of him being gone all she talks about is him. So when he finally gets air-time, dude shows his colors. A real d-bag at heart. From being too immature for his situation, to just disrespectful to anyone regardless of age, and then he dumps her in the end because "he wasn't ready for the situation". Well at least he was honest there. Also saw another episode where the guy is 22 and she is 16 (maybe legal in that state). Guy takes off the day his kid is borned promising to find a job and apartment in a different city. he never called, so the day she decides to call him for the first time after his son's birth is the day they dump each other on the phone. However, she's just as bad a parent, because she'd rather party and enjoy her social life, than take care of her child. Often leaving him up to her mother. And then the trick had a bad attitude. But her mom kind of spoiled her, so that's sort of her fault.

Most of them are really just waiting to become a news story: "Teen mom neglects child in car-seat in 100 degree temperature" It's sad, but the way most of these girls would rather pass on these children to their parents than take care of them, you really have to start expecting and trying to prevent the worse from happening.

It’s an epidemic.

Kids having kids… sure they’ve been doing it for years, but we get these school “pregnancy packs” and now a show on MTV to glorify it all…. Is there any hope…?

The rate of teenage pregnancy declines rapidly after age 19. Just wait it out, it won't be a problem anymore.

I think a major contributing factor is that It used to be that kids didn't want to get pregnant young cuz its hard to take care of some one.

If you think kids shouldn't be doing it, don't teach them how.

Now we give baby dolls to middle schoolers that simulate having a kid and they think hey I can handle this, that means I should have sex, now that I am ready to be a parent because I got an A on the baby thing in school.

Teach a kid a 10years old how easy it is to make money dealing drugs and then expect him to go work 40 hours a week like everyone else. Not gonna happen.

Watching MTV or anything therein is pretty much the equivalent of sitting on the front porch of your mobile home in a bathrobe and curlers next to a broken refrigerator, smoking a GPC and waiting for the propane delivery guy to show up.

Stupid breeds stupid. And we're paying for it.

This theory always reminds me of the movie Idiocracy. Definitely not the best film ever, but I don't think it is much of a stretch to think that is where we'll end up (though the film does take it to an extreme).

It just amazes me, with as short as life is, and as much stuff as there is to do every day, how people have time to sit and watch moronic shows.

At LEAST flip over to the Discovery Channel / TLC / History / etc and learn something while you're staring slack-jawed at the television...

Lol im guilty here. But i have good reason. My sister (27) seems to be obsessed with pregnant teenagers and their "dilemma". So at her house, I passed by the TV and saw the way these two girls were acting (attitude-wise) and i was waiting for the parents to knock a couple teeth out, so i kept watching. Other than that, you can only get me to watch tv if it's the Boomerang channel (old-school cartoons).

What about that show that is coming out about the girls who start a cult and get pregnant on purpose. I think teen pregnancy is just wrong there is nothing good about it.

Yes, but I'm an engineer so I tend to get my jollies off on shows like this.

Also, anything on Discovery is borderline orgasmic in HD, from a visual standpoint that is.

Jailbait + Peen0r = Teen Pregnant.

This is a simple and powerful equation, and it is to be respected.

I HAVE EDITED THE POLL TO REFLECT THE TRUTH
