Technology Package USB problem..

First off I'm loving the technology package, I'm old school so the whole bluetooth playing your audio s*** is crazy to me lol
But any way every time I plug my phone in through the USB it just says "reading usb" and doesn't act on it, same with an iPod...
If any of you have had a similar issue and solved the problem please share! Thanks
