To ellaborate on that a bit.
The brake lamp switch signal is key signal to the BCM as well as the ECM as well as transmission, cruise, and audio system. The basic operation of the NATS (security) system requires the operation of the brake pedal before the computer will even send the start signal. At the level at which this input is required it would really not be advisable to defeat this option.
I too thought the time required to start the car was a bit excessive at first but after getting in and out of hundreds of 06+ models I have realized the time requirement for pushing the button and holding the pedal are not that long. I put my foot on the brake hit the button once the procedure starts to change you don't need to hold the brake or button anymore.
Given the amount of things that have to happen from the time you hit the start button to the time it changes to ACC mode. The ikey transmitters ping the signal in the key and verify the rfid serial number, the start button, brake and transmission position switch signals are all verified.
As a quick test, try timing it out to figure out just how much time is required to hit and hold the required things to start the car. I've thought about this in the past and it doesn't work out when you think about the work vs. reward then factor the potential side effects. The NATS system does not tolerate fluctuations in any signal input, this is the advanced security feature and has been standard on all Infinitis since 98 and has gone through 5 dramatic changes to an advanced rfid verification process that has an impressive detection range that has been limited to personal protection.
