Im in California with a 2010 Nissan Rogue S (2.5L) which I took to be smogged.

Smog tech said it failed because OBD2 was 'not ready" concerning HCAT and AIR.

OBD2 device shows HCAT - N/A and AIR - N/A and to go through several cool down and heat cycles involving driving down freeway ay 55mph for 15 mins.

I Googled and used another different AI and asked if this 2010 Rogue even has HCAT and AIR and they both said no.

AI said the N/A is because the car does not have those systems.

Here is my question. Can you share official Nissan literature I can share with this smog tech?

Thank you

Pq

The second AI was correct, a '10 Rogue has no supplemental catalyst heater and no air injection. The only heaters are inside the oxygen sensors, front A/F and rear HO2S. On a Cali car you do have two HO2S's, one for the front cat which exists on both Cali and Fed cars and one that's Cali-only for the rear cat.

There's a complete FSM for your ride here in Nico. Here's a link to the Engine Controls (EC) section:
