As you all know, my rod bearings were going. The new ones came in today and sunday theyre going in. As long as nothing else is messed up, because if is, im parting this motor out.

But if everything is cool, ill give this motor another shot. I hope it doesnt fail me again.

Just curious - what bearings did you decide to go with? What size?

Yes, but since we're on the subject, and I don't recall if they specify how to measure in the FSM, do you happen to recall how?

I could check the FSM here at work on this computer but its sooo slooowwww in acrobat.. actually it's slow period. It's like pulling teeth.

It should say in the FSM how to, option A is using mic's and crap and option B is using "plastigauge" (sp?), mine doesn't go into detail on the plastigauge though.

Yea, I accidentaly bought 2 sets. The price was 3 bucks and I thought it was $3 each so I ordered 8. It turned out it was $3 a pair and now I have 8 boxes with 2 bearings each in them.

Man, I need to just print out my FSM. Adobe sucks to scroll through.

Where in the FSM did you find info on the bearings? I found stuff on page EM-53 (I think that was the page) but it only gave inspection specs.
