in the process of learning about engines, so forgive my ignorance.

One of the hoses that are connected to the top of the cam on my 93 240 sehas about an inch long tear in the rubber, and the white fiber is coming out a bit, obviously this needs to be fixed. could anyone educate me on this hoses' purpose, and what neglect can lead to? Friend of mine said its related to the vacuum and could be the cause of my car bogging down and stalling when i take the car out of gear and coast. i just got a brand new clutch and this stalling crap is ruining the whole experience. >_<

thanks.

i guess you mean cam cover?

this hose is a breather hose and could definitely cause driveabillty probs. use some electrical tape to fix untill you find a new hose.
