sure the US drew with a "controversial" goal, but sincerely deserved one. So many good runs, but not so promising finishes.

And i've said it before and i'll say it again...PUT BUDDLE IN AS A STARTER!!!! :slap:
CLARK AND FINDLEY NEED TO BE ON THE BENCH.  both of them did terrible; esp findley.
he rarely did much to advance the US and seemed uncertain of what to do once he got the ball during this match.

i'll take a draw though. algeria will be easier than solvenia (great defending), but i'm more than ceratin that we can come out of those 2 matches with 6 points; hopefully on the top of the table!

Hands down, our goalkeeper did an outstanding job! Team USA looked a bit nervous, but were able to put up a fight against a fast-paced English team.

Coach should start Gomez and Buddle.

Honestly, i thought team USA pushed the ball very well. Defense needs to step up; need more tackles and a lot more possession of the ball.

I want to see the world cup trophy come to america. Unfortunately, if we don't pull the top seed over england, it might be a 1 and done campaign...

Exactly, USA needs to get ahead with a win. No ties or draws, but a win. Which they will!

Swiss over Spain. What a shocker. I was all for Spain in that Group.

the US needs to win against slovenia. :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: a tie will put us in a very tight spot for a spot in the round of 16 and a loss will most likely ensure our exit from it. and when england wins against algeria, the situation for the US will be even more devistating.

wow...i jsut read that and for such a proud fan of the USMNT im such a negative nancy hahhaa. i guess im just realistic. but they are the favorites and im certain we'll make it out of the group. altidore and howard's status is improving so we're gunna come out great.

USA 0 - 2 SLovenia At the Half.

Weak passing and a loose defense + Slovenia seems quicker = A tough fight to a tie.

No doubt. Team USA needs to perform well. Not just the second half, but the first.

buddle better start with altidore vs ghana or else there really is no hope for the US. bradley needs to capitalize on his good form now! cant wait til saturday!!!

to be brutally honest...i think we might be able to make it to atleast semifinals. how? ghana 2010 is not the same ghana of 2006 that beat us last world cup. no essien, muntari hasnt really played yet (will he really?) and barely beat serbia and almost lost against australia. the US has great odds in this game.

the winner of US/Ghana moves on to play the winner of S.Korea/Uruguay. If the US manages to win vs Ghana, facing S.Korea will prob be easier than Uruguay, but if they focus more im sure they could pull off a victory facing either team.

Has the USA ever beaten the Brazilians?

Can't recall. Probably not.

Let's go USA!

My only problems are Ricardo Clark, and we need to get a fancy Spanish or Brazilian trainer to work with the Forwards and teach them to be elite. The rest of the team is solid.

:squint: Not a big "team USA" soccer fan. They seem a little cocky with no skills to back it up. I cheer for the latin teams mostly during the world cup. Mexico mostly.
