TDC on a 1995 Nissan 200sx

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

According to the Haynes Repair Manual for the 1995 Nissan 200SX TDC is when the rotor tip is pointing at number one distributor lead and the timing marks are aligned with the "T". Which side of the rotor tip are they referring to? You have the abrasive end and the non-abrasive end. Can some one explain? Help

I think you might have the wrong forum. What motor is in the car? Is it fwd or rwd?

The only 200sx in 1995 was fwd and had a GA16DE in it. If this is the case, then let us know, and I'll move this post to the correct forum so that you can get some help.

the 200sx has a distributor and to find top dead center it refers to cylinder one so the rotor should point down towards the master cylinder thats the #1 terminal on the distributor cap..... as far as top dead center the #1 piston is up and on the way down or before compression stroke
