some late 80's early 90's Volvos used Mitsubishi TD05 turbos instead of Garrett T3's. In order to do this they made TD05 turbine housings with T3-style flanges (it has a recess which can be taken out by a machine shop cheaply. the shop that did mine did it so easily they felt bad about charging me so they just gave it to me free). Other than that, the turbine housing itself needs to be studded instead of studding the flange like on other T3's.
How do I know this?? I run a TD05-12A on my KA log mani with T3 flanges.
