The 16G wheel? Haven't run that one but I've run the TD05-14b and TD06-17c, awesome turbo's both and the 16g is more-or-less in between. An acquaintance who's run the 16G says it's a great turbo. Spool is quicker than a 17c snail due to the TD05 hotside and the 16G compressor is very well suited to our motors. Just make sure you go with the 8cm^2 hotside, the 6cm one strangles the motor up high in the revband.

Are you talking about the OEM Evo turbos? I remember reading somewhere that they rotated the opposite direction from most turbos so exhaust routing might be a pain in the a**.

yeah the oem evo one, I'm in the process of getting the TME evo 6 rs turbo, the one with titanium internals, supposed to spool faster but il have to see, should be good for 300whp so it will be a fun drive! and yeah from what Issee I'm going to have some funky exhaust and ic piping!

Werd, have fun! Best thing about the turbos is the way they kick. Like a light switch. The mitsu compressors are either on or off but when they're on, boy are they on; the way the 17c comes on is aggressive enough for 3rd gear power-over initiations at 1bar. Or maybe I just need a bigger tire...

Anyway, are you going topmount or bottom? The turbine outlet flange is angled kinda weird on the 16g, looks like exhaust piping would work better on a bottom mount setup.

I've been running a Td05H evo 3 on a custom top mount on my CA for a couple of years now.
Only advice I would recommend is to get the exhaust housing ported to eliminate boost creep, which is common with these turbos from what I read. I need to have mine done. I have my controller set at 19psi.....1st, 2nd, and 3rd are fine, but 4th and 5th (longer boost time) boost will start creeping quickly past my boost setting :ohno:
Other than that, no complaints. It' spools quick and lag is only a tad longer than a t25g, and best part is it doesn't run out of breath in the upper rpm,s like the t25g does.
