TCU reflash?

Have a 99 Q45 and every gear shifts fine except for the 2-3 shift. Going into third it slips when its cold and when its warm it shifts good except when you are WOT and above 4k RPMs. Just wondered if this might be a TCU problem and if i can go to the dealer to get it re flashed?

Probably a shift solenoid problem as a symptom of infrequent AFT exchanges. Any maintenance history for the AT? Current condition of ATF? Age? Auxiliary ATF cooler?

I have a lot of records but it seems its been awhile. Looks like 98k and it has 149k on it now. I checked the fluid when i bought it and its still red. Not bright red but decent. You think a BG clean will do the trick? I plan on getting it flushed here in the next month or so.

Without a doubt, your transmission could benenfit with a mechanical fluid exchange, pandrop, filter and O ring replacement, new pan gasket and one time use bolts.

Find a shop that will do it that way.
