I have a '99 Q-built 4/99-Joe from Scottsdale sent me a new TCS relay...my problem: where is it located in the car? We think this will solve the TCS/Slip/ABS lights staying on ....help? and Thanks!

Here's the relevant section of the manual:

Brake System Section of the 1999 Q45 FSM

Check the diagram on page BR-47.

Inside engine bay, passenger side, near firewall, on top of ABS control unit (with metal brake lines connected).

Also, make sure you post results in this thread as well as the other two where this is relevant so that future searchers will be able to find.

BullitAndy...I think my relay is somewhere on the passenger side in the glovebox area....my Q was built later in the year and some changes were made...

The 1999 FSM shows it in the engine compartment, passenger side, near the rear (pretty much where Andy put it). Throttle motor relay.

If you have the relay then match it up to the whatever looks like it.

I promise I'm not lying to you, your problem is very likely the relay and it is located where I said. I say this because this is the same conversation that we've had on several different posts.

Of course I could be lying to you....

BullittAndy...I'm just going by what Joe in Scottsdale told me--he said my later made Q-per vin number-doesn't have relays in the ABS control pump area...said they were built in and not able to get to...then he said it was in some type of "box" on the passenger side glove box area...so I can't compare if I don't know where to look...I've tried buying a FSM from ebay-no luck....I KNOW you won't lie to me.....what kind of combined mileage are you guys getting from your Q's? Mine has gone down from about 23/24 to 20 on the highway in the last 3 months....thanks,Doug in Texas

Should get 22 mpg at 75mph on tier 1 premium 93 octane.

The TSB are the killer as there is a ton of them that most ignore at their own peril.
