Hi All;

My 01 i30 has an issue where these 2 indicators will remain on. Sometimes they seem to come on for no reason, other times they come on after the traction control has engaged. Seems to be happening more on the colder days, any ideas?

Also, sometimes I get a very rough idle, as I slow to a stop, this usually happens right about the time the lights appear. I usually drop to neutral and rev to save from a stall (reflexes!).

It has 81k and I have not done anything to the transaxle since I got it 3 years ago at 50k.

I have checked the fluid, it seems clean, not burnt, and appears to be at the proper level.

Any ideas?Thanks yo!

Generally when both of these lights come on in unison it means that there is an issue with the TCS system or the braking system in general.

Hmm, braking? that is a surprise.

I have noticed a slight PULL to the right, under breaking only, which seems to be intermittent, like after I have been at a stop for a bit. I replaced both rear calipers (one had seized) in July, and everything has seemed fine since.

Perhaps the fronts are going? I'll check it out, anything else I should look into?

Could be something to do with the fronts not turning properly...you said you checked your brake fluid level, right?

There could be a bad sensor somewhere as well...

Traction control and ABS use a lot of the same electronics since both operate by comparing individual wheel speeds. So failure of one can affect the other. Are you seeing an ABS light as well?

Some things it could be:Bad wheel speed sensorBad TCS or ABS relayBad TCS or ABS computerBad TCS or ABS fuse
