See if you can figure this out. After a small front end collision in my 1995 Q45-it has 160,000 miles on it- (new bumper & driver's side foglight; new passenger side foglight after body shop broke it replacing the bumper), my TCS & sliplights are staying on, and the engine surges (maybe or maybe not related problem?). They only started coming on AFTER the body work was done. Nissan diagnostic machine said throttle control was bad but they didn't replace it; instead sent me to a local mechanic with Infiniti experience who said something's blowing the TCS fuse (right next to the battery). He sent me to an out of town Infiniti dealer ..they diagnosed the TCS pump(?) somewhere in the front under the battery, said it was $700 just for the part. That's too much for me...and I still wonder why it happened after the body work...could I check for loose wires or anything? I don't think anyone did-they just went by their diagnostic machine. Any ideas? Thanks, D Cook

I'm in south Mississippi....about an hour and 15 minutes above the coast...and no , a tree didn't fall on the car... they just fell all around it. The relays being messed up, would that blow the fuse as soon as it's replaced? thanks, d cook

traction control guts are located on passenger side between front wheel and bumper-possible disconnected wire or other damage was done during bumper repair?

Which 'fuse' is blowing?--a standard mini blade or the Nissan/Infiniti 'fusible link--aka $15 each one. A loose wire would not blow the fuse. It is either the 'pump' which is located under the front fender well cover passenger side, or the TCS 'actuator' which is located just aft of the engine compartment fuse box passenger side. Try unplugging the 'actuator' first to see if it is the bad component. used ones ARE available. The actuator will blow the fusible link.

It's the big fuse... you can tell I'm no mechanic...the actuators were both replaced maybe 6 months ago.

AND... the wire to the pump was loose so we plugged it back in but when we cranked it up the fuse blew again
