Ok, ok I know its an infamous problem and believe me I have done the searches but I cant seem to fix the issue. My TCS and slip lights are on constantly. they do not go off and then come back on as I have had trouble with in the past. We replaced the blue sensors under the battery last year and put in a brand new battery at the same time. Problem solved until now. My TCS and slip lights came on and my traction control actually stopped working. You get a good rainy day and she can get a little slip going around corners. Anyone know where to start to diagnose the TCS system? No codes are coming up...Arrrgg. Now today, I hear this clicking noise coming from under the car, hubbys says Uh oh, sounds like the cat converter. Great...one thing at a time please. Oh yeah, its a Q..that never happens.
Thanks for the help.

Isn't there a diagnostic in the FSM? The bled "sensors" under the battery are relays. Did you also check the alternator? A weak alternator will result in a discharged new battery and you are right back where you started a few months before.

In my experience {over 280,000 miles worth} the traction control system is near bulletproof on the Q with nothing more than an annual 5 minute/$5 suck out and replacement of the fluid.

check to see if the pump runs. slightly loosen the bleed screw on the tcs unit and you should hear the pump come on. you need to consult the FSM to trouble shoot the problem
